The Hamas-run health ministry announced that 9,061 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the conflict began on October 7. Among the victims, 3,760 of them are children. More than 32,000 others were injured.
Meanwhile, at the IDF's daily briefing, spokesman Daniel Hagari says that the army has contacted the families of the 242 hostages held in Gaza. The last reported number was 239.
Hamas says it has hidden hostages throughout Gaza, including in tunnels. Last week, they announced that at least 50 hostages had been killed by Israeli airstrikes, a figure that could not be verified. Yesterday, Hamas said seven hostages were killed in an air strike on the Jabalia refugee camp.
