The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, spoke about the meeting he held yesterday in Belgrade with the European Union's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
Vucic said that there are many ideas, but according to him, you cannot find a solution when you talk to people who do not seek solutions, referring to the government in Pristina.
"We could have sat for ten hours. I am afraid that it would be difficult to find a solution when you talk to people who are not looking for a solution, when you talk to people from Pristina who are looking for reasons for conflicts and attacks on the Serbian population in the north of Kosovo", he said .
Vučič emphasized that he "doesn't say these things by chance", because according to him, the desire of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is to "drive" the Serbs out of there.
"Don't mention how many thousands of kilometers we are away from the formation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority. Pristina does not want this to happen", said Vučič.
Lajcak announced on his profile on the X social network, formerly known as Twitter, that on August 30 he had discussed with Vucic about "the next high-level meeting in September, efforts to reduce tensions and hold new elections local in the north of Kosovo, as well as the implementation of all agreements signed during the dialogue".
This meeting took place after Lajcak announced on August 28 that he had an "important meeting" with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on the sidelines of the "Bled" Strategic Forum, as part of the preparations for the next high-level meeting , which is planned to be held in September.
On August 30, the European Union repeated its call to Kosovo and Serbia to create the conditions for the continuation of the dialogue for the normalization of relations between the two countries.
