The freedom that the West has given Serbia recently, with the idea that they will entice it to abandon its Eastern ally Russia once and for all, seems to be having the opposite effect. At a time when tensions in the Balkans have reached their peak, after the Belgrade-sponsored terrorist attack in Banjska, Serbia instead of taking steps back and meeting EU-US demands, President Vučić will travel to China.
As a form of pressure, why not the "Karsillik" towards the EU summit that will be held on Monday in Tirana, Vucic will travel to China on Sunday, where he will have a bilateral meeting with the President of China, Xi Jinping. but not only.
The Serbian president has said that he expects meetings with representatives of numerous companies and other Chinese state institutions.
" I expect the signing of many agreements, including the free trade agreement. That agreement means a lot for farmers, as well as for the wine industry" , he said.
The main problem lies in the fact that Vucic plans to meet his 'master', the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, who is expected to travel to China. Despite declaring that he had no bilateral talks planned, he added that he was sure to meet her, as did many other leaders.
" As far as I have heard, 24 world leaders are coming to that meeting. Putin is among them. I don't have a bilateral plan with him. The last time we met was on November 25, 2021, when I said that there would be war in Ukraine. It will be even worse in the world and that is why it is important for us to maintain peace ," said Vucic.
