The appearance of Nicolas Maduro after his arrest raises several questions: why does he appear in different clothes in each photo? From a jacket to a long-sleeved shirt and then a jacket and a hat. These changes are related to the subsequent journey and the risks it poses to his health.
In the first photo after his arrest and the Delta Force raid, Maduro is on a warship wearing a gray short-sleeved T-shirt over a white T-shirt.

As US commandos dragged him out of his bedroom with his wife, Celia Flores, he was probably dressed lightly, wearing only a T-shirt. In Caracas, the temperature yesterday reached 26 degrees Celsius, while January is usually around 22 degrees Celsius. The jacket seems to have been added due to the change in region and the cooler climate during the journey.
Later, when the Boeing 757 carrying him landed in New York, he was wearing a light blue sweatshirt and a hat.

He seems awfully happy to be facing life in prison.

In New York, the temperature yesterday was -6 degrees Celsius, very different from the heat of Caracas and typical for the season, with cold and often snowy weather.
Winter in New York, with its characteristic humidity, intensifies the feeling of cold for those accustomed to warm, dry climates. Although Maduro does not appear to be cold, his posture and gait indicate discomfort.
At DEA headquarters, during the registration process and his official court appearance, he was diagnosed with early symptoms of hypothermia and was therefore dressed warmer: a black jacket buttoned up, a sweater underneath, and his signature hat, which barely covers his head.

It is worth noting that his pants and shoes have not changed. He wears thick white socks and slippers, as is customary for prisoners in the US. The slippers protect him and those around him from possible injury or the transmission of fungus, while the socks provide warmth and protection from germs in common areas.
