Prime Minister Edi Rama has ordered several actions against those who hide income and evade tax obligations, performing acrobatics by opening and closing businesses: but the case of the "Magenta Sh.pk" business of his son Gregor Rama proves the same thing.
On April 18, 2018, citizen Gregor Edi Rama registered the firm "Magenta Sh.pk" and began its activity with the purpose of buying and selling works of art, import, export, design, creation of works of art and consultancy.
He started the business at the address: 5th floor of the "Reli" building in Farka, near the Tirana Zoo, but less than 1 month later, on May 11, 2028, Gregor Rama transferred the business to another location at the address: "Dritan Hoxha" Street, Administrative Unit No. 7-Tirana.
On November 1, 2018, seven months after starting the business, it closed the activity of producing and buying and selling works of art, with the liquidation-bankruptcy-deregistration procedure of the "Magenta" firm, completing the procedure in record time within 2 months, when others take over 1 year.
In fact, in the Extract from the National Business Center, it has not declared the legal documentation, accounting expert, court decision and balance sheet for 7 months of activity, while it has blocked the data.
Even after the closure and deregistration of the "Magenta Sh.pk" business in November 2018, Edi Rama declared his son's income from the activity and sale of works of art for the years 2020-2024.
Although he closed his business in November 2018, Gregor Rama has declared bank accounts, purchases of apartments; offices, studios and garages from several builders, for which he says he has financial sources from the income from the sale of paintings and installations.
According to data from the High Inspectorate for Asset Declaration and Conflict of Interest for the entity "Edi Rama-Prime Minister", it turns out that during 2018, when Gregor Rama had the business "Magenta Sh.pk", he did not declare a single penny from the painting business, but only 3.6 million lek from a rental contract, without specifying what type of asset it was.
In 2019, Gregor Rama declared 137 thousand lek in income, 42 thousand and 961 Euro in bank accounts, 12 thousand Euro from the sale of an "Audi" car, the purchase of a "BMW" car worth 15 thousand Euro, 27 thousand and 500 Euro in income from the sale of paintings and 36 thousand and 481 Euro from the liquidation of the business, when during this year he did not conduct any business and did not file a balance sheet with the Central Bank.
Even without business activity and without employment in the state or private sector; for 2020, Edi Rama has declared that his son has created a bank account of 715 thousand lek, a bank account of 8,132 euros, has created an investment fund of 18 thousand 500 euros and 25 thousand euros in profit from the sale of works of art.
For 2021, Gregor Rama has declared 48,300 Euros in income from creative activities over the years and 35,000 Euros in income from a sales contract, without declaring what he sold.
For 2022, he declared the purchase of a garage worth 10 million lek, without declaring the source of income; the purchase of a 99.5 m2 apartment worth 95 million lek, with proceeds from the sale of two paintings worth 117 thousand 483 Euros; and 49 thousand 980 Euros.
He declared income from the sale of 1 installation art work, while on December 31, 202, he invested 7,391 Euros, and made another declaration for 75 thousand Euros, income from the sale of 1 installation work.
In 2023, he declared 8,000 Euros in income; a decrease in accounts by 745 thousand Lek and 40 thousand 457 thousand Euros, data that continued in the 2024 declaration.
It is striking that after the business closed, the prime minister's son is not listed as employed; not even Prime Minister Edi Rama states that he was employed after January 2019, when he closed the business./ Pamphlet
