"Nationalism is the last refuge of masquerades"
How does she say the famous saying: "Nationalism is the last refuge of scoundrels"?
This expression is known mainly for leaders who have nothing more to give to their people and 'feed them with an empty spoon'.
Edi Rama has prepared a big parade in Tirana today, November 28, which will be a demonstration of patriotic associations mainly of the diaspora for our national holiday.
This parade is not held in a jubilee year of the establishment of the Albanian state, as the 110th anniversary was years ago, not this year. Then, mainly the big party according to established tradition was held in Vlorë, the capital where Ismail Qemali and the delegates from all over the world gathered in the Assembly that made Albania.
But why is Bablok holding this massive activity now in Tirana?
It is normal for the "Albanian Roots" parade to take place in the diaspora - New York, Canada, Europe, or even in Pristina, or even in other areas where Albanians live, such as in Skopje, Ulcinj, Tuz, that is, outside the territory of the Albanian state. To show in their countries the red and black identity and symbolism that they convey.
And in Albania, this symbolism, although beautiful and welcome, does not have a strong message.
However, Albanians, as a people strongly connected to patriotic symbols since we are a relatively new state and nation, always welcome celebrations for the Flag.
Politics, however, often misuses them by orienting them for its own interests. As it seems that Edi Rama is using this parade, just as he had organized the diaspora summit.
Where did the essence of the message emerge in Edi Rama's speech? When he nailed Albin Kurti as the big absentee, who is boycotting a national summit.
But this time, the goal is again diabolical. North Macedonia is before the parliamentary elections, where for the first time the possibility of losing the political weight of Ali Ahmeti's party-BDI, as the main Albanian political force there, is imminent. And here the Albanians have nothing to lose. DUI has been in power since 2006 without moving and has been in coalition with both VRMO-DPMNE and SDSM.
Among the Albanians of North Macedonia, there is an important opposition political group of DUI, which not only comes as an alternative, but also has a different and more pluralistic spirit from the autocratic government of "Ali Baba". And it is precisely from this autocratic spirit that an important political group has left, which is the DUI of Çairi, i.e. Skopje, headed by the former head of the municipality and number two of the DUI, Izet Mejhiti.
Which together with other Albanian opposition parties: Besa of Bilall Kasami, Albanian Alliance of Arben Taravari, has formed a political alliance. This alliance runs the largest Albanian cities in North Macedonia: Tetova, Gostivar, Albanian Skopje, i.e. Çair. DUI has only the municipality of Struga, where its mayor Ramiz Merko has been declared 'Non-Grata' by the government of the United States of America.
Albin Kurti has come out in support of this alliance, which is not a new position, as this also happened in the 2021 elections. When Vetëvendosja was openly supported, he even formed an alliance with the Albanian Alliance that was then led by Zijadin Sela. There is nothing new here, the political connection or sympathy is not hidden.
However, Edi Rama is turning the November 28 parade into a large grouping against Albin Kurti, but also the Albanian opposition parties of Macedonia. It is learned that the man who will deliver the main speech at the ceremony will be the "Father" of DUI Ali Ahmeti.
Erion Veliaj has also invited the heads of the Albanian municipalities in the region, where at first those who are led by the opposition in Kosovo responded, and the head of the municipality of Dibra e Madhe in Macedonia. Of course, the head of the municipality of Ulcinj, who belongs to the party of Dritan Abazovic, has also been added.
The head of Besa who leads Tetova has not yet confirmed his arrival. In the meantime, Taravari of Gostivar has accepted immediately, in order not to leave the possibility of speculation, at least as much as possible to the organizers of the parade. Which has a diabolism from creation. After Rama, he organized it with some important figures of Albanians from the USA who are from our lands in Montenegro, such as Mark Gjonaj. Who is also the man who supported and created "Albanian Roots".
Rama's attempt is to create precisely from the Albanians of Montenegro, the region where Albin Kurti is from, a siege against the Prime Minister of Kosovo. Instead of uniting everyone and even promoting the fact that two Albanian prime ministers, such as Albin Kurti and Dritan Abazovici, are from the municipality of Ulcinj, he is trying to fuel division.
Actually, there is a reason why Rama is doing this big campaign for Ali Ahmeti this November 28. Because if "Baba" is irradiated, Bablok's slide starts immediately.../ Pamphlet
