Grenell is neither Secretary of State, nor Secretary of Defense, nor ambassador. He continues to have influence, but not power in the White House. In short, he has no signature authority. However, as Trump said when signing the decree for Grenell's position, the President is preparing him as a senator or governor in California, where Republicans have big problems with liberal circles.
Grenell, however, ignited the fire of conflict in Kosovo with a comment he made against Albin Kurti. Comments that did not really provide any new insight, his opinion was known about the current government and the leader of Vetëvendosje.
The official stance of the new US government on Kosovo, or even Albin Kurti himself, will undoubtedly be announced by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, or even by the US ambassador in Pristina.
It is not new that both the State Department and Ambassador Hovenier have difficult relations with Kurti.
Because the Prime Minister of Kosovo is a politician who does not follow advice or orders coming from outside, but follows his own position.
But to see how the new administration will handle Kurti's stance, we will have to wait for either an official statement from the head of the State Department, or even from Donald Trump himself.
If we analyze Trump's nature, he has shown that he likes or works better with those politicians who have "guts," meaning they have their own stance and are willing to negotiate from a strong position.
Meanwhile, a politician who accepts orders from above has no need for negotiations or negotiators.
Now that Grenell has made a post against Kurti just before the elections, it seems clear that he had no other intention than to help the political forces that are against Albin Kurti.
But, in all likelihood, Richard Grenell's 'tweet' will not have the effect of weakening Albin Kurti and Vetëvendosje, on the contrary. Because all those voters who voted for Albin Kurti 4 years ago did so precisely when Richard Grenell was the head of the US intelligence services and was doing the damage with a firm.
Meanwhile, today, Grenell has no office, no firm, no budget, and no staff. He is a traveling lobbyist delivering Trump's messages wherever there are crises in the world.

With all the money he has received from Belgrade, Grenell is not able to help Vučić and his close friends, with whom he frequents parties in Belgrade. On the other hand, it is not excluded that Grenell's message is economic blackmail to get what he has long sought, the 'Grandi' Hotel in Pristina. However, here we are also dealing with a bad diplomatic performance by Kurti, his incompetent minister and the idolatrous and militant ambassadors. Albin Kurti and Kosovo cannot allow themselves to aggravate relations with the US and its Western allies. And for this they need to prepare a program on how to regulate relations. This is not to please Grenell and his suite, but Kosovo.
Grenell, although he may not have an official position in the administration today, has every opportunity to influence Donald Trump and Secretary Rubio. Since he is part of the first circle of important people. If Serbia has made Richard Grenell its own, this is good for Belgrade, so Pristina should hurry to find a lobbying position in Trump's anteroom. If not with Grenell, who Vučić has burned, with another, who would at least whisper an alternative opinion in Trump and Rubio's ears. / Pamphlet
