Conspiracy theories, according to which the former President has gone mad, do not stand...
This is not the first time that Ilir Meta, ex-President, ex-Prime Minister and minister, ex-Speaker of the Assembly, has been involved. This is not the first time in Ilir Meta's high political career that he comes out and shouts, pretends to be out of his mind and speaks with vocabulary and gestures unreasonable for normal logic.
Ilir Meta has done this before and if you go back to the history of his political life, the precedents he has created, you will find other similar cases. The difference is that this time, apart from being torn, Ilir Meta is furious.
This means that the conspiracy theories, according to which the former President has gone mad, do not hold.
The reason that has delayed him until the day he appears, as he appeared at yesterday's conference, swearing and cursing, threatening and wagging his finger, with unacceptable vocabulary, is another: He is trapped and already knows that the time of it's over.
The Meta chapter is closed in Albania and this is the time of accountability for it. What people like Ilir Meta, Sali Berisha and, in the near future, Edi Rama and his ilk, never believed would happen, is happening. With suspicions (reasonable and proven), of a very lame New Justice in some places and typical crime figures who should be in jail by now, the justice system is set to work and, or will end it to this criminal caste that has laid deep roots for more than 30 years, or Albania will disintegrate to finally lose itself on the path of its unfortunate history.
This is the reason that Ilir Meta has gone out of control.
Body language, words, mannerisms and everything else show that he already knows, that there is no escape. He is bumping from one corner to the other corner of a circle that has closed the entrance and he has nowhere to go.
Faced with this truth, in order to be completely honest about the current Albanian reality, we must also accept some other facts, about which we have written and talked about constantly:
- Altin Dumani has many dark shadows over the show for justice that he has been giving lately. The fact that he deals only with low-level managers and does not bother to go to the Prime Minister's office to demand an account for the illegal decisions he has made, makes him a suspicious character and, why not, bought by the Prime Minister. Until he clarifies this position, his justice is unbelievable.
-Altin Duman didn't want to go all the way to the end of the incinerators issue. The smoke of justice is dubious and tainted.
-Altin Dumani should leave the charges of "abuse of duty" or "administrative violations" for the heads of crime (who also have power) and deal with new justice. Ilir Beqja belongs in prison; Ogerta Manastirliu after him, too; Belinda Balluku cannot hide forever, but she must give an account; Olta Xhaçka does not know what violations greater than the ones she has committed, must be proven in order to appear before justice.
The list is long and as long as it is, Altin Dumani cannot complain about the vocabulary that Ilir Meta has used against him.
But of course, this does not make Ilir Meta a better man, and he cannot justify his behavior with a medical report that declares him "crazy".
Ilir Meta is not crazy, that's a little, but sure. He may have gone astray, but not for any other reason than the fact that he is stuck, trapped and already knows that his time is up and he has no other fate but the bars./ Pamphlet
