All these years we have cried for Enver Hoxha or Sali Berisha who talked about everything, stuck their noses everywhere 'from potatoes to heavy artillery'. But as a tall man who is among us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week said, "we haven't seen anything yet"!
From rain to hail, we have a prime minister who not only 'sticks his nose' everywhere, but also can't keep his mind off things, even when no one calls him to the cause.
He has become like a character who was used a lot in the early years of politics to attack opponents. In other words, he has become a Shaban Qose, a mythical character of urban Tirana during the communist era. He talks about everything, even though he may violate the Constitution, and intervenes even where the border of abuse of office is touched.
As he intervened in Theth, overcoming all constitutional barriers, from the judiciary (prosecutor's office), local government (municipality), or even state structures, which have responsibilities according to the law.
He intervened in every municipality in the country, thus flagrantly violating the Constitution, from Tirana onwards, by removing with his own order the entire leadership of the local government.
He intervened yesterday, too, regarding the serious incident with the Vlora police officer, further aggravating the situation.
The Prime Minister is not the country's police chief, but neither does the police chief have the authority to dismiss or even suspend any police officer. The State Police Corps operates according to a specific Law, and all levels of appointment and dismissal are not made by one person, but by a special legal structure.
Rama said yesterday that 'the officer should be expelled and never return to the police force', to appear as a good man in the face of the public opinion that has come under fire.
But as it turned out later, the situation was more complicated, as the person who shot the waiter was not the police officer but someone else. The officer is even in rehab as a result of a fracture caused by the owner of the bar.
Which means that we are dealing with an event for which there are competent legal structures that must act. The meddling of Shaban Qosja-Prime Minister creates a dangerous precedent, as it lowers the morale of state employees, who are letting them go as they please for fear of popular reaction.
Just as he released Saimir Tahiri, Erion Veliaj and all his people, to save his own lives, increasing the political and institutional cost of the Albanian state.
Because here you are not asking about the law and the constitution, but only about the mood of the people, who are bored and fed up with a prime minister who only talks but does nothing. Even when he does, he simply harms the people by favoring a handful of criminals and the rich, his clients./ Pamphlet
