The arrival of Benet Beci in Shkodra as mayor resulted in the return and revival of Shkodra's former glory. That Shkodra that has brought to the Albanian space an image of elegance, citizenship and above all culture.
But one day, Edi Rama, after filling Tirana with towers and granting similar permits in Korça and Vlora, decided without batting an eyelash to do the same in Shkodra. Exactly in the place where the iconic "Rozafa" complex is located, where he now intends to erect a tower that will bear the same name.
No reaction. Neither from the majority with Benet at the helm, nor from the opposition, civil society, students or teachers. Total silence. Not only because the permission was given by "his highness" from Tirana himself, but also because no one dares to say a word against it. But what does Shkodra have to do with towers? Shkodra is not a city with frenetic territorial development, it is not a city that needs vertical construction, it is not in a crisis for construction space. On the contrary, Shkodra has been protected from the concrete fever, a fate that has saved its urban authenticity.
Despite abuses and corruption over the years, Shkodra has preserved the neighborhoods, alleys and spirit of the old city. This has made it an attractive destination for foreign tourists, who visit it for its originality. It is one of the few large cities that has not been infected by the construction "fungus" virus. Because those who launder money have always aimed for Tirana, where prices are higher, profits are greater and cleaning is faster.
The construction of the tower in Shkodra by Edi Rama is nothing more than a signal to the oligarchs and money launderers: “El Dorado is open, jump in.” The new concrete “Rozafa” could become the curse that will give birth to many other twins, which will turn Shkodra into an architectural macabre, just like Tirana or Vlora and Korça, which lost their face.
The Shkodra Tower should not be allowed. Because the moment the first one is built, Shkodra will have opened its grave. It will lose its soul, history and identity, turning into another concrete village, like the rest of the country, without historical, cultural and spiritual references, which is being drowned by the thirst for profit./ Pamphlet

Kullat, rama i krahason me nje koleksion arkitektonik me shume vlera. Ne fakt pervec pastrimit te padiskutueshem te parave te trafikanteve jane dhe shperfaqje dhune brutale mbi qytetin dhe qytetaret.
