Albania is in a non-political zone, like Aleksandar Vucic's Serbia, Viktor Orbani's Hungary or even Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Turkey...
With three full mandates, with control of 90 percent of the country's municipalities; Edi Rama is no longer a politician who must be defeated.
If this happened in the first or second term, it could be considered a political cause. But today, any thesis that is a backbone of an opposition would only strengthen an autocrat who has all the power.
We are in a non-political area, like Vucic's Serbia, Viktor Orbani's Hungary or even Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Turkey.
Edi Rama has managed to capture powers, interest groups, and undoubtedly a piece of the electorate, which hangs on him for inertia, also as a result of the 'pan' he shares, fear or worship.
In short, Albania is on the brink of a new political season, where a spirit, an ideal, revolutionary in the full sense of the word is required, to inspire a great change. A change that will bring not only the fall of Edi Rama and his caste, but the arrival of a new political environment, which is completely different from the existing one.
This system cannot be changed with a group of deputies who do everything to be in the parliament for the next term as well, surpassing Sali Berisha, or even Ilir Meta. Who are not only politically dead, not only are they criminal corpses, dependent on the moods of SPAK prosecutors or BKH officers, but they no longer have anything to give to Albanians. All the more because they are corrupt to the core, they live with stolen wealth, with towers and villas, privileges and luxuries that they do not deserve.
Albania requires a new momentum, which may not be perfect, but must come from an intellectual and civic political vibration to change. To change the political system, the economic system, and above all the control of public property.
Albania is no longer a country that has only 6 days of bread, and where you can topple the prime minister by stealing flour warehouses as Azem Hajdari did with Sali Berisha in 1991.
It is a country that has a scary syringe of billions coming from drug trafficking, but also from the black money of the Middle East that seeks to enter Europe through Albania, having Bablok as its 'mytesarif'.
A political model that changes this system must reject, oppose this form of government, which does not distribute income to the people but to the clients, to the oligarchs, who then act as the state enterprises of the great Pasha.
This system is overthrown with a drastic solution where a new opposition, educated people with Western and liberal ideas, demand to change the Republic.
By introducing direct elections as an essential mechanism, overthrow the electoral system and implement the French-style majority system, where the candidate who receives 50 plus 1 percent of the votes is elected as deputy, and where the President of the Republic is elected by the people. A system where Albanians can vote anywhere in the world. And in order to do this, the internationals should be asked to guarantee this process, taking them in hand, but also the diaspora to enter politics.
The OSCE, for example, has all the capacities to control the vote of the diaspora.
Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta are not today the people who can overthrow Edi Rama, despite the fact that they may hate him and want to overthrow him. Their political power inside and outside the country is zero. It takes a new political class to tell the dinosaur couple to retire now. Let them help from outside to bring about the change, but without showing their face. Edi Rama escapes even if SPAK, as expected, will open a large file that could shake his government. What if this happens, and Rama does Erdogan and accuses the West of a 'coup' and positions himself as Sali Berisha?
Of course he could be seriously injured. But in the conditions where he faces Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, he still has a chance to emerge as a relative winner and get the fourth mandate.
Edi Rama is assembled with a liberal opposition, based on tradition, and with people not involved in corruption. The opposition, which would mercilessly attack government corruption.
In this case, Rama would have no alibi and would be destabilized, he would have no opportunity to justify his stay in power, he would simply be politically dead, a corpse like Berisha e Meta. But this is done with a completely different model than the current one.
Not one person, an all-powerful leader, but a collegial council, a popular assembly of the opposition that offers the country not a 'one man show', but an impersonal government, with an Assembly of men and women, and with a collegial government.
Albania has suffered from the so-called strong people, so it needs strong Assemblies, where the word weighs and in the end decides votes. Let no one come out to overthrow Edi Rama. A lot of people come out, where even in the government there is rotation, as many countries do, in order not to familiarize the power. So, in other words, we need a completely different model than the one installed by Sali Berisha and Edi Rama. Otherwise, let's cheer the Sultan just like Erdogan in Turkey and Vucic in Serbia./ Pamphlet
