The fact that the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama remain in power without facing a real opposition, necessarily brings about a change in the political paradigm - otherwise - the country seriously risks slipping into an autocratic puppet, where Edi Rama decides everything.
None of us can remove a thief like him from power except the USA.
It is now a fact that the Democratic Party will no longer exist, as we have known it. It may happen that it will be reformed, but it will never be a political formation that will function as we were used to these 32 years of its existence. And this is the right thing that should have happened years ago, to respond to the challenges of the country's developments. What it could not do for 32 years, the Democratic Party can never do, so its change was an absolute necessity. The economic, demographic, social and political structure of Albania has undergone profound changes, therefore it is political myopia to continue with the same model and with the same politicians of the 90s. In general, Albanians have understood this reality, but not even Tritan Shehu and Edmond Spaho with friends. In the end, this is their problem and not the Albanians' problem.
But what makes the state of the country worrying is that the same process has not yet started in the Socialist Party. Moreover, the fact that the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama remain in power without facing a real opposition, necessarily brings about a change in the political paradigm - otherwise - the country seriously risks slipping into an autocratic sham, where Edi Rama decides everything.
When the United States designed the Justice Reform, they certainly had a plan for Albania. They imposed one of the most radical reforms in the world, a reform which has only begun to yield results in the last year. But there is something wrong - not in the reform - but in the American plan for Albania. Let's look in depth at the impact of the reform on the political class of the country, and why we are facing the risk that its consequences will be destructive only for the political opposition, and not for the government.
The essence of the Justice Reform was the creation of the SPAK and the Special Court Against Crime and Corruption (of high officials) - two structures set up exclusively to fight the corruption of politicians. Consequently, this "special structure" has turned into a bully that is driving the corrupt; the corrupt government and opposition. Unfortunately, so far we have not seen any decisive blow, such as to make it politically impossible for the corrupt to survive, whether in the opposition or in the government. The worst, the circumstances and environment in which the Justice Reform is being implemented, as well as the change in the approach of American politics towards our political class, is producing serious consequences for Albanian citizens, first of all consequences for the Albanian opposition.
A country's opposition is its most valuable political asset; it is the only tool the people have in their hands to remove a corrupt government, above all, to remove an autocrat from power. The opposition of a country cannot be replaced by any body of justice - no matter how strong and impartial it is - moreover the opposition can be replaced by a law enforcement organization like SPAK. SPAK prosecutors are not politicians, judges of the Special Court are not party leaders, so they cannot produce social policy, nor economic policy, nor adopt laws, nor govern the country. Therefore, the American plan to hit corrupt politicians, but without hitting the government of Edi Rama and the majority of the Socialist Party, would essentially be a spectacular failure, which would ultimately cement the power of one of the most corrupt politicians in the political history of the country .
It is true that SPAK has been attacking Edi Rama's majority for some time, but it is also true that during this time, there is no sign that his power has weakened. Of course, this has its reasons, the main one being the fact that since 2021 the opposition has been in a continuous civil war, where Sali Berisha has hijacked the Democratic Party to use it as a shield in his fight to protect himself. Thus, until now the result of the reforms and the American policy towards our country has terrible consequences for the Albanian opposition, but not for the Albanian government, despite the fact that SPAK has also hit elements of Edi Rama's power. In these circumstances, it seems clear that this is not enough, that Edi Rama does not fall from power, nor does he resign, nor is he overthrown because Vangjush Dako and Lefter Koka are arrested, nor because Tom Doshi is declared a non-woman; he does not fall from power even though he corrupts Charles McGonigal, even though he steals money directly from the State Budget, even though he loses over 130 million euros in international arbitration for a small whim; even though it turns the country into a drug plantation. In short, Edi Rama is not overthrown from power, because,
a) The opposition is a political organization controlled by Sali Berisha,
b) Edi Rama himself is interested in this situation, that is, that at the head of the DP is a person under investigation, with many open cases with justice, non-women in the United States and Great Britain,
c) both are in a silent alliance, the greatest interested in preserving the current status quo,
If the current situation does not change, that is, if the 2025 elections go with Sali Berisha as the head of the opposition, and with Edi Rama as the prime minister, those elections would only be a shameful electoral farce. This would really be a serious blow to the political pluralism in the country.
It may seem impossible that the United States does not know the new result of its policy, is not seeing the results, or does not understand the consequences that its policy and the Justice Reform had. It is certainly implausible that the United States intended only to destroy the Democratic Party, because the facts show otherwise. But apparently this is not enough for the policies and reforms that the United States has imposed in Albania to give results. What happened in the Albanian opposition must also happen in the Socialist Party. The waters must be stirred there too; let them also see for themselves what will happen when ONE is hit. Therefore, a "civil war" is also necessary in the Socialist Party.
Therefore, it is time for Edi Rama to be overthrown from power. Otherwise, if we go with Edi Rama as prime minister in the 2025 elections, we can say with full mouth that the policies and reforms imposed by the United States failed.
We are not able to remove a thief and criminal like Edi Rama from power. No one from the Albanian opposition is able to do this. The only major power that has the means and power to do it is the United States of America. The time is now, at most until the summer of next year./ Pamphlet
