After a slight increase in the last few days, the euro has returned to falling below ALL 100 this Thursday.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, today one euro is being exchanged for 99.8 alleks, from 100.1 alleks the day before.
For state institutions, the fall of the euro has come about due to the high flow of currency in the market as a result of the tourist season, investments and remittances.
While for the opposition, the reason for this devaluation is the informal money that circulates in the country, mainly in the construction sector.
