There was no doubt that the "non grata" declaration of Sali Berisha was not the result of any lobbying and therefore could not be undone through lobbying, even if it was very costly.
Despite great efforts, staggering expenses, and a media focused on his propaganda, a PR operation was orchestrated before the May 11 elections to create the impression that the sanctions against him had been lifted, that he could travel to the US, and that the "non grata" had been lifted.
The sum of 6 million dollars was made public, despite the fact that there is still no announcement whether it was declared according to the law to the CEC or not! Although this amount was accepted by Berisha and the DP that he leads with the claim that it was lobbying for "regulating relations with the US", the real purpose was clear and had only to do with removing Berisha from the "non grata" status.

In fact, the lobbying studio contracted by Berisha had as an argument before the authorities of the US State Department for the overthrow of the 'non-women' claim that Berisha is no longer part of active politics. This is a lie that needs no explanation, because whether or not Berisha is part of active politics, this does not need either comment or interpretation.
But what is worth noting is that, although they were paid 6 million dollars to build this false narrative, neither the Albanians, who did not reward him with a vote on May 11, nor the Americans, who did not waver in their stance, believed such a thing. The undeniable fact is that Berisha remained and will continue to be 'non grata'.
In the end, the truth is stronger than any deception. Not even $6 million can buy it.
This does not mean that if $16 million had been paid, there would have been a different result.
