Kosovo was the tax that Albania paid when it got permission to become an independent state. Unfortunately, this tax lasted for 100 years, until Ibrahim Rugova decided to stop this injustice and made an invention that did not exist even in the most futuristic books of the world.
Ukë Rugova, the son of Ibrahim Rugova, together with his wonderful family, visited me at the stand during the Book Fair, where I gave him my latest novel Artificial Paradise with great pleasure.
Since I often go to Pristina recently, they invited me to meet their mother and grandmother, who must have so much to tell about life with Ibrahim Rugova, perhaps the most European and strange Albanian politician in the last 100 years , after Ismail Qemali.
I look forward to photographing and talking to him, to understand how Ibrahim Rugova managed to create the newest state on the planet, a state that had never existed before, except in his dream.
Since we are on the verge of Independence, it must be said that Ibrahim Rugova completed a century later what Ismail Qemali started in 1912. When Albania became independent, Kosovo remained outside the borders as a tax that had to be paid to the merciless mercy of the Powers of Big.

When he set out, he had many enemies and very few weapons, among them endless patience, endless cigarettes and a scarf tied around his neck. When he arrived he had the whole West with him which he slowly convinced by speaking in Avash.
Ibrahim Rugova's army was his patience.
As they say, he talked little and expected a lot.
I don't know what the history of Kosovo would be like without Ibrahim Rugova, but one thing is certain: without Ibrahim Rugova, the West would have let Kosovo wait even longer.
It is not known how long.
