In recent days, PD has started talks on cooperation with allies in the elections, but the leaders of the small parties are divided, whether "they will be on Berisha's lists or later". So Fatmir Mediu is asking for a list, in order not to lose votes, meanwhile he is asking for representation in every district.
And Dashamir Shehi confirms "final divorce with DP of Berisha". Meanwhile, the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, is the Democratic Party's chosen one to start consultative meetings with allies, for the cooperation formula in the 2025 elections. Intensive meetings with allied parties are expected, regarding the new form of cooperation, since not all the leaders of the small parties are of the same opinion as Fatmir Mediu, that "going out together strengthens the positions of the opposition". But in the meantime, Mediu's condition to be "participating in the election" is irreversible, for "safe places on the lists".
The one who absolutely rejects cooperation with Berisha remains Dash Shehu, declaring that "principles separate us from the DP led by Berisha, the right cannot make enemies, its allies such as the USA, Europe, Britain". The distance of the head of the PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, who in the coalition with the DP in 2021, received 4 mandates of deputies, remains decided. He also refuses cooperation with the DP in the 2025 elections. Until now, the situation does not remain promising for cooperation with the allies, while Berisha remains the only "optimist" in the DP.

The 2025 elections will be among the most difficult in the history of the Democratic Party, due to the fact that it needs now, not to face Edi Rama (since they see him as a strong mountaineer) but to convince their own people to vote for him, and allies to cooperate.
