Boycott of November 9th / Why have elections become a phobia for the DP and will

Just as a bully provokes someone by throwing a fake snake at their feet, knowing that the other person being bullied has a phobia of snakes, Edi Rama also provokes Sali Berisha time and again, by fabricating partial elections...

Psychological science recognizes about three thousand human fears. Some of the most unusual fears are; ablutophobia, fear of bathing, anthrophobia, fear of flowers, spectrophobia, fear of looking in the mirror, genuphobia, fear of knees, heliophobia, fear of the sun, chorophobia, fear of dancing, etc.

The Democratic Party, which is personified by the Berisha Family, has developed a fear of elections. It is not an irrational fear, but a consequence of electoral trauma. For 16 years, it has lost every election; local, central and partial.

Like a roll in inertia, each loss has been followed by a more dramatic defeat, so much so that in recent years, the owner of the DP, Sali Berisha, has tried to modify the alibi for the loss, but has fallen short by using the same one with which he justified the previous loss.

Just as a bully provokes someone by throwing a fake snake at their feet, knowing that the other person he is teasing has a phobia of snakes, so Edi Rama provokes Sali Berisha time and again, by inventing by-elections between local and general elections. It is a disturbing, almost embarrassing, experience for the godfather of SHQUP, which perhaps gives Rama pleasure.

Even before the shame of May 11th had worn off, Edi Rama rushed to stage elections in six municipalities, with the aim of dealing another blow to his tired but wealthy opponent, who has yet to recover from his recent fall.

Due to the illegality of the announcement of the elections in Tirana, Sali Berisha had political and legal reasons to boycott these elections, as his abuser Belo Këlliçi signaled three days ago. But, in order not to give Lulzim Basha the right to boycott the 2019 elections and to prevent him from handing over 61 municipalities on the table out of a phobia of defeat, Sali Berisha chose another boycott of the November 9 elections; Support for independent candidates.

Through this boycott, Laraman, by standing as a fan in the electoral battle, achieves three goals; He does not disturb the comfort of his power in the opposition despite the loss, he avoids the discrediting of repeating the alibi of defeat, and he continues to bear the consequences of his decision, together with Ilir Meta, to boycott the 2019 elections and burn the madates, at Lulzim Basha's expense.

But, like a date set by the doctor for an operation, the next local elections will be held in 2027, a year and a half from now. Facing election phobia is inevitable, only if it demands that elections be held once every 10 years! And that probably wouldn't be a bad idea for Edi Rama!
