What are 64.5 million euros? Rama doesn't say it outright.
Rama says: " It is about 64.5 million euros that come directly from the European Union for Albania, 30 million euros are for the state budget as support for the reforms of the national reform agenda and 34 pass through the Balkan Investment Fund in infrastructure. I believe that this is another very clear sign of the fact that we are moving quickly towards membership in the European Union ."
But what are 64.5 million euros? Rama does not say.
The EU makes it clear, Albania received 30 million euros of CONCESSIONAL LOANS for the state budget, as support for the implementation of reforms within the framework of the country's Reform Agenda. The remaining pre-financing of 34.5 million euros, consists of 10 million grants and another 24 million LOANS will be injected directly into the BIF (Western Balkans Investment Framework) for infrastructure investments in Albania.
Until 2027, Albania has the opportunity to receive up to 922.1 million euros in total LOANS from the Reform and Growth Fund for the Western Balkans. in exchange for reforms in the rule of law and fundamental rights, renewable energy, the digital economy, human capital and private sector development.
A day ago, the EU announced that it had made the first payment of 7% of the amount to North Macedonia. Albania also received 7% today. The payment will soon be made to Serbia.
Kosovo has not ratified the "loan agreement" with the EU in Parliament and until it does so, it cannot receive the first payment of 7% of the amount allocated to it (880 million euros).
Well, nothing to brag about except propaganda!
