Exit from the Open Balkans or opening for the dismemberment of Kosovo
The three "architects" of the Open Balkans

Rama's new attitude towards the Open Balkans should not be seen as his withdrawal, but really as his new strategic choice to fulfill those conjunctural appetites that guarantee the continuation of his rule...

Rama's statement about closing the Open Balkans has created many reactions.

Opponents of this initiative do not hide their joy at this end. The failure of this initiative that basically superimposed itself like a boil on the Berlin process was spectacular.

The initiative never took full shape and remained at the level of a typical Balkan political diversion.

As it were, there were more knocks on that door than there were projects and initiatives that would help those who signed it. This mostly happened because the Open Balkans in the middle of the region gave economic and political impetus to the hegemony of the Serbian factor.

Rama as the main initiator, why not having international factors behind him, has articulated the failure through his teeth, as if he was trying to hide his vengeful slander through his teeth.

He was proven to the world and opinion as a diplomatic profane and a man without thought, a seller of the nation's interests, as well as a cheater of popular polls according to which his initiative enjoyed public support.

Let's not forget that the main contributor to the failure of this Rama-Vučič open marriage was Albin Kurti himself. But in all this theater of events, let's not forget the main thing. Rama has shown that he does not give up on his goals regardless of the path he follows.

And if we make a quick comparison of Rama's attitudes in relation to Kosovo, we will notice that what has changed in Rama is the path, while the goal is the same, even more aggressive.

While the open Balkans was a stab in the back to Kosovo because de facto, through alleged cooperation, it significantly expanded the autonomy of Serbian municipalities and fully attached them to Serbia, his proposal for the Association and for an international conference on Kosovo sanctioned the de jure fragmentation of Kosovo and the creation of a Republika Srpska in Kosovo.

It is no coincidence that he has threatened the Prime Minister of Kosovo with the loss of the North and his cynicism for open war games has revealed his support in favor of Vucic.

All this is not just personal grudge or left-wing internationalism. Rama is in the hole of "tasks" that in that case lead him to personal revenge.

Rama knows well that fulfilling these duties keeps him in power and goes hand in hand with his pre-Ionian appetites. Thus his superior goal for power is fully aligned with his goal to attack Kosovo.

That's why Rama has not withdrawn.

He's just not hiding behind the open Balkans anymore. This cover is no longer needed. He has evolved and came out openly with a concrete project that divides Kosovo, and on that occasion he also hits his new "enemy": Albin.

According to him, this is the political chess that he has to play at the risk of being labeled a traitor.

Under this lens, Rama's new attitude towards the Open Balkans should not be seen as his withdrawal, but really as his new strategic choice to fulfill those conjunctural appetites that guarantee the continuation of his rule.

It is not the place to express too much cheered satisfaction.

It is time to react politically until this Esat Pasha is de-factored and dethroned so that Kosovo is not crippled.
