What does Erion Veliaj's victory bring?!

But a deputy is elected with less than 11,000 votes, so how can a mayor who is elected with 160,000 votes be arrested?

One year after his reality show-style arrest by two officers with an FBI badge, today Erion Veliaj has truly achieved a very important victory.

Victory more than twice, that is, the parties that were against him in the process; the Prime Minister and the Presidency, is multiple.

Because the decision of the institution that interprets the fundamental law of the state has returned to the best tradition of this institution, where it says stop to someone who thinks they can sow the wind and the storm.

With this decision, the Constitutional Court has first restored and strengthened the sovereignty of the vote of the citizens who have elected Erion Veliaj three times as mayor, numbers that are more than 10 times more than an MP, who can neither be kidnapped, nor arrested, nor blackmailed by various media proxies.

Specifically, today in the Constitution of Albania, the president, the prime minister, and a member of parliament are not held accountable except in the face of a clear and serious crime.

But a deputy is elected with less than 11,000 votes, so how can a mayor who is elected with 160,000 votes be arrested?

In the past, two Constitutional Court decisions have overturned the dismissals of two Prosecutors General, after considering it a violation of a constitutional mandate of an Assembly vote.

In this case, a direct citizen vote was revived by a prosecutor, which is at the very least a misunderstanding of the Constitution.

Nothing would happen and does not happen in any country in the world if an agency files an indictment. We had today's candidate for mayor of New York, Andrea Cuomo, under indictment, but no one removed him until he himself resigned.

In Europe, such cases happen every day. Vincenzo de Luca, the epic governor of Campania, has had cases in the Prosecutor's Office a lot. He won a second term with 70% of the vote. They didn't give him a third for fear that he would seek to become prime minister.

However, the events surrounding the Veliaj case or other cases that came from the DP's denunciations, contained protagonism or other sparks that could have ignited many sparks.

However, the Constitutional Court's decision has set a standard for today and beyond, which applies not only to SPAK but also to the prime minister and president who were parties to the process. Of course, also to their lawyers who demonstrated a high level of legal conduct.

The Constitutional Court has clearly shown that it did not consider Veliaj's dismissal an absence but a removal from office for cause.

And this is a dry seal, which will clearly be confirmed by Strasbourg, namely the European Court of Human Rights.

And from this decision, not only Erion Veliaj wins, but everyone else who feels threatened by the so-called "Republic of Prosecutors." Which has been overthrown today!
