What is the Rama government doing?
When in a society that lives in its own state; the social situation progresses according to custom and not among ideas, that society is in a lethargic sleep.
Thus; this is the state in which Albanian society finds itself today in its own country called Albania.
There is nothing new in Albania today in terms of ideas. The situation is hazy; and a scientific scheme for further social development in Albania is still not emerging in Tirana: in the market and in public administration; in broad investments with an economic concept, in agriculture and in industry.
I.
Therefore, our situation is simply called almost a standstill. That is, almost a standstill.
Today, Albania lacks industrial production, while agricultural production is insufficient for the Albanian market.
The market in Albania is dominated by imports, because there is not enough Albanian production.
What is the Rama government doing?
We are not seeing or hearing anything in this direction that we expressed. At a time when Albanians and Albania are currently being sustained by emigrant remittances.
But it should be noted that the socialists who came to power after a destruction of the Albanian state and economy, it must be said that they and their governments stopped the devastating crisis; but in the meantime we are not seeing a scientific scheme to increase production in Albania; to raise the level of education and universities in Albania; to create numerous opportunities for, with state scholarships, excellent Albanian students to study at prestigious universities in the West.
How is the economy in Albania doing?
There are over 1.3 million Albanians in emigration to Western countries today; and their influx is keeping Albania
Production in Albania is still very weak. But Albanian agriculture produces only 18% of the Albanian market's food needs.
What have the successive governments done?
Nothing, because it is the market that trades that about 80% of the goods on the market in Albania are coming from imports.
What is this situation in terms of history and development?
This situation is perhaps an expected crisis, because everything in the Albanian market comes from abroad; in an economic concept, the development of a country comes from the amount of goods produced in that country.
But we must emphasize that the money spent in the Albanian market comes mainly from emigration remittances; because today, about 40% of the annual money circulating in the Albanian market comes from emigration to the West.
In fact, labor is free and we are a society with Western concepts of a market economy.
II.
But what is the economic situation of Albania today?
Today, Albania does not have sufficient exports, as it only holds 18% of the market.
That is, about 80% of the market in Albania is supported by the money that Albanians receive from emigrant remittances.
Well...
What is Albania's GDP today?
Albania's GDP, according to the latest World Bank projection for 2024, is estimated to be around $18.9 billion. GDP per capita is estimated at $6,743 per capita. Meanwhile, the upper-middle-income poverty rate ($6.85) affects 34.2 percent of the population.
This is the life of the state of Albania and the Albanians; but it must be said that everything is sustained by the flows of Albanian emigration to the West.
How much money comes from remittances to Albania?
According to Eurostat, remittances reached a value of more than 2 billion euros in 2024, up 6% compared to the previous year. The value reported by Eurostat refers to remittances measured as personal remittances or transfers and earnings of employees working abroad.
Well, this is the situation; and Albanians are waiting.
Therefore we can say that...
Today we are a society so developed in concepts that we are spread throughout the West; but we necessarily need an in-depth scientific study to create an integral development in Albania: in education; in agriculture; in industry and even in state administration.
Because today we have all the opportunities to do this study; because the intellectual level is in good condition. And, precisely for this, a new relationship is needed between the banking system; the legal system; the educational system and the administrative system in Albania.
Because...
Today we need an integral development that requires money; but the money is here; and we are still not creating a studied scheme for our integral development in all the aspects mentioned above.
Let's see. Time is calling for the Albanian state to be run scientifically with a fair ratio in the constitutional agreement between private capital and the development concept of Albania; and this with a common reason between the private market and the leadership of the Albanian government; but also of local government as well.
