A video where it is thought that the former singer of light and popular music of Albania Parashqevi Somaku appears, is being used massively by known and unknown people in the form of regret. In this entire colony of regrets, there are those whose nostalgia really connects them with the memories of the past and from it they feel a kind of emotion with memories and passages of their lives, as there are also those who have the next draft for little attention. Now for everyone as a whole, the question that comes naturally is: well, why do you always remember people, especially (celebrities) or when they fall into trouble, or after they die?! No one remembers about them while they are alive.
How do they live, where do they live, what do they live with, do they have the opportunity to live, live with the dignity they deserve for what they have given to the public and the nation? We don't remember them either when they become bad news, or after they leave this life, because we forget that they are people too. They have a social life with their ups and downs. And after the fatalities occur with them, the nostalgic and the eloquent appear. The whole possible spectrum of pity for souls appears, which is actually the greatest cynicism and the most disgusting hypocrisy. Now two words about Parashqevi Simaku.
Like millions of Albanians, I belong to that generation that I have known, followed and adored from the screen. It was famous in Albania, impoverished by the dictatorship, and apparently Parashqevia thought that the fame here is equally accepted abroad. Beyond some privileges, even fame could be considered such, all of us in the Albania of the dictatorship were equally poor and with few economic opportunities. Artists and athletes were kind of privileged from the rest of society as a whole to have some extra basic elements that maybe gave them that distinction from the rest. So it was all thanks to fame. Parasquivia was one of them and perhaps the most famous.
Maybe he thought that what Albania offered him was not what he deserved. And so after the 90s, when democracy started here, she decided to follow the American dream of movies that seemed a miracle to us. He tried with all his and God's right to create a new professional and personal life. It failed. It is human. It didn't happen only to Parashkevi Somak, but it happened to hundreds and thousands of famous people, in France, Italy, England and of course also in America and not only Albanians. Some are lucky and some are not. There are also those who shoot their fate with their feet, as an Albanian expression says. Perhaps Paraskhevia, in search of greater fame, in fact inadvertently kicked her luck.
Another popular expression says "better the first in the village than the last in the city". So who makes his choices in life. Many colleagues from Parashqevi made a different choice, they stayed in Albania today thanks to their talent, skills and love of the public enjoy both respect and a dignified economic status. The Libohova sisters, success stories, Eli Fara or Bujar Qamili. Meanwhile, Mertita Halili and Gëzim Nika are in America success story again.
I mentioned only a few names to illustrate the fact that who made the right choice and the right way had luck with it. There are many others like those who have been lucky as there are also those who have failed. Such is life, such is art, such is fate. So people choose their own path and in a way write their own destiny with what they seek and claim. Paraskjevia, perhaps partly due to claims, partly due to bad luck, had a history of failure, and this was due to her personal choice like everyone else's.
Now for these collective deplorables who are activated every time a "victim" appears from whose fate they want to get attention. If you have a little humanity, turn your eyes and attention to the people of art, culture and sports or people who have made contributions to the country and the nation, not when they are ruined or leave this life. Give attention and dignity today, now, tomorrow and every day. They do not listen or read the writings with pity and hypocrisy when they will no longer be or when the troubles and problems of life have violently put them down. They need dignity, not alms, especially alms with false love.
Boll acted as if...a nation shows how much dignity it has not by words, but by the facts of how it treats its elite, and the facts shame us. So Parashqevia is an opportunity to turn our eyes to those artists, athletes, scientists, poets, researchers and writers to honor them with dignity and at the right time through acts not hypocrisy and words!
