Gunshots were recorded this Friday evening in neighborhood no. 4 of the city of Saranda, where a 50-year-old man was seriously injured.
According to preliminary information, the injured person is Thimjo Rubati, around 50 years old, who was urgently transported to Saranda Hospital. He is undergoing surgery due to his injuries.
Preliminary sources indicate that there are suspicions that the incident may have been an organized assassination. According to the same sources, the 50-year-old was shot by people riding a motorcycle.
Immediately after the incident, numerous police forces arrived at the scene and began investigations to clarify the circumstances. In the meantime, the police have cordoned off the entrances and exits of the city of Saranda, while checks continue to identify and capture the perpetrators.
An official reaction from the State Police is expected for further details on the incident.
