This is one of the most fundamental questions of our lives...
Is Albania today moving towards development, towards the permanent improvement of democracy as a democratic system, or towards a time that does not promise a future?
This is the essential question that needs to be asked today.
But this is a question that forces everyone to think about calmly, because it concerns everyone's life, but also the development of Albania.
However, I must emphasize that Albania is not at all what it used to be, because it has now entered its development, but everyone must think at the same time about themselves and their homeland.
I see as great progress the fact that today Albania is a member country of the great alliance of the Western world, NATO.
And this has guaranteed us the existence of our independent state, but it should still make us think more realistically about our country.
But, do we Albanians lack realism in the analyses we make of ourselves and the development of Albania?
This is one of the most fundamental questions of our lives.
But in any case, I must emphasize that we have achieved the independence and inviolability of Albania due to the fact that Albania is today a member of the NATO military alliance.
And this is not a little.
And the question remains:
What about us, what will we do?
But Albania's second and most essential step is now certainly known to be the fact of this question:
When will the Republic of Albania become a member of the European Union?
This is our fundamental issue for our historical development as an independent, just state, with a scheme and full assistance in our economic and social development; as a democratic country and as a democratic society.
But such an issue should also be the achievement of Albania being a country with a high level of social welfare.
And this is what we are waiting for, and this is what we Albanians are constantly seeking at this time.
And this should be demanded of every government that comes to power in Albania, always according to the question: what is the level of economic development and educational development in our Albania?
Everything else is worthless.
Today, economic development still requires a great deal of commitment from private capital, but also from the level of governance; from all the governments that come and go in Tirana.
Here, according to what we expressed above, we must say that: what we expressed is our issue, and this should be demanded of every government.
