It is not a decision against SPAK. Nor for Elton Qynos. It is a decision in favor of journalists, in favor of the media's mission, and against every scoundrel in SPAK who accuses this institution of being the father's mate to resolve internal conflicts.
It is a historic decision. The hand and eye of the prosecution have no place in the tools and resources of a journalist, but on the other hand, media freedom is not a shield against illegalities. A journalist's sources are sacred.
A journalist's right to protect sources is not a privilege, but a pillar of press freedom. Sources may only be exposed in exceptional cases, when all other avenues have been exhausted and it remains the last, only and only option for uncovering a serious crime.
