The American Republic was born 250 years ago, on July 4, 1776, and despite the terrible civil war of the second half of the 19th century, it has never felt the need to transition to a second, third, fourth or fifth republic, as happened within a few years with European democracies such as Italy and France.
So 250 years of the United States of America and 250 years of a single republic. Then came the second Trump presidency and the republic risks being its last. What Trump is doing to America is unprecedented.
There is no point in listing here all the subversive decisions that we barely manage to report in the newspapers every day, because it is almost impossible to track all the violations committed in the White House.
Every day, Trump doesn't do 1, or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5. Every day he makes at least 10 decisions, each of which in less crazy times would have ended the career of any politician. Multiply 10 violations per day by the 11 months that have passed since Trump has been in office and calculate the weight of the ongoing assault on the rule of law, civil coexistence, and the system of international relations.
I have written several times, starting in 2016, that Trump is the greatest disaster to have befallen America and the rest of the world in the last 20 years; a moral and civil tragedy that has caused unprecedented damage to the reputation of the United States.
This damage will have devastating effects for generations to come, and it will not be easy to repair even when Trump is out of the game sooner or later. The first “anti-American” president of the United States is leading the glorious and ancient republic towards an absolute monarchy, built around his family and surrounded by a court of characters more suitable for Giuseppe Cruciani’s show “La Zanzara” (The Mosquito) than for the government of a civilized country.
But with the aggravating circumstance that these people, unlike Kruçiani's "circus", have the atomic bomb codes in their hands and when they get bored, they bomb randomly, as happened recently.

So the political blow will be severe and will raise hopes for the restoration of constitutional legality and institutional decorum.
But it is equally possible that “King Donald” does not care about the defeat at all. He may attribute it to some trickery and exaggerate it by emphasizing his imperial style, based on executive decrees like those of the Eastern satraps he admires.
The satraps, who for business purposes, are welcomed into the White House. The year 2026 will be a difficult one for America, Ukraine, and Europe. However, resistance is active and growing, starting in Ukraine, Poland, and the Baltic states. The “No Kings” movement exists because Americans are loyal to the Federal Republic and against the monarchy.
There are also many Western Europeans aware of the vital importance of the challenge that Putin and Trump pose to the liberal-democratic model, but they are often isolated within their own political communities.
Then there are many “useful idiots”, friends of the Putin regime, anti-capitalists, anti-Westerners like Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Melencho (or Matteo Salvini and Giuseppe Conte), who pollute information sources and hope for the end of the free world - some out of conviction, some out of ideology and some out of opportunism.
However, the free world has not yet completely disappeared. Although weakened, it is based in Kiev and Brussels, no longer in Washington. It can rely on those few people who refuse to capitulate and who do not succumb to bi-populism. / Adapted from Pamphlet by “Linkiesta”
