The fate of the powers in Albania does not depend on the Albanian rulers!
It's not just about doing historical studies.
It's about understanding the meaning of history.
So, to understand what it has that is repeatable even today.
This is history as human memory. Without memory, man does not take a single step in the present.
In this sense, in 99 percent of cases, we have not understood history, nor anything from it.
Let me give you an example:
Internal changes in Albania, even when it was not called that, seem to have been made as a reflex of changes either in the Empire where it had hung its noose, or of changes in international geopolitics.
In this sense, to think of the state in Albania in terms of a state in itself, that is, in its absolute internal sovereignty, means to not understand anything.
That is why we suffer in political science, sociology, constitutional jurisprudence, political philosophy because we deal with undigested, conceived and valuable ideas, where I know in ancient Rome, in America, in England, in France, but which do not correspond at all to the Albanian reality.
Let's take a look, what did the communist groups in Albania do from 39 to 41? Did they fight fascism? Not at all. They got into this stream when Hitler's Germany attacked the Stalinist Soviet Union, and Stalin gave instructions not to make a pact with Hitler, but to start resistance. Without this we would have no communist resistance at all in Albania.
We come to the year 47-48. Albania, which was being swallowed up by Tito's Yugoslavia, changes its internal political relations, suffers internal political earthquakes, why? Because in 1948, a few days before the unification of Albania - Yugoslavia was to end, Stalin breaks with Tito and cuts his hands off Albania, puts his own hand on Albania. Without the Tito - Stalin conflict, we would have been led by Koç and the fate of Albania - Kosovo was unknown.
We came to 1960. Khrushchev had no intention of swallowing Enver, overnight if he wanted to. But, something happened in the relationship between Mao and Khrushchev, they conflicted. Enver took advantage and allied himself with Mao. If it weren't for that conflict, we would have been a country of people's democracies in the Soviet camp like Romania, the Czech Republic or I don't know where else.
In 1978 and further in the 80s Albania goes into total isolation and people are hungry. Let's not forget that a change has occurred in China. Teng Hsiao Pin's ideas for liberalization begin to gain momentum and China opens up to the United States. This change makes Enver tighten his grip on society.
Why does Albania open up in the 90s? Not by himself? Not at all. There has been a change in the Soviet Union. Gorbachev has arrived.
So dozens of cases even in the 19th century, even now, now, now that we live.
The truth of political systems, of rulers, of powers, ours, in a word, is outside of us, elsewhere, in the political fluctuations in the great country where we are based, we have always had one, and by fluctuations no matter how small in the international arena, I am not talking about world wars.
Without this analysis, the Albanian state and Albanian politics cannot be judged.
The fate of the powers in Albania does not depend on the Albanian rulers! A telegram, a statement, an open letter, an interview, a decision, from abroad or something like that changes our destinies for dozens of decades or a century.

One must not start from within to understand the larger world, but must start from without to understand what is happening within.
