In 1945, when the communists launched their offensive against the wealthy classes, one of their most frequent accusations was that "you have invested wealth in times of war." In reality, wealth is invested in times of war, since those who are merchants benefit from chaos and anarchy. But after 1945, most of them suffered, taking away even what they had invested unjustly. But what can we say about our opponents, who, even in times of peace, without power and office, turn out to be wealthy.
They show us that they have increased their wealth, 5 or 10 times more than what they had 13 years ago. But why and how is this explained? Meanwhile, for 13 years they have been shouting, accusing and saying that "government officials have become billionaires through corruption", none of them explain how most of the opposition became super-wealthy? We have seen, heard and read how the wealth of every opposition MP increases in inverse proportion to their statements. Not only from the DP, but also from other old and new parties. They have land, shops, businesses, millions in banks, hold rallies in Albania and Europe, go abroad whenever they want, take luxury vacations, fabulous weddings, lobby, feast, make expensive purchases. But can any of them say how and where they find the millions? Did their grandfather, brother-in-law, or mother-in-law leave them any such wealth?
Of course, no one excludes bargaining with a minister, director of a department, or even higher, but what is worth emphasizing and thinking about is the fact that they are millionaires, and that their wealth does not have safe and honest sources. It is known that politicians in Albania have been playing on dirty tricks for 35 years and swimming in dirty millions, which have their source from our money and those that come from the world, with other tricks. When I hear how those of the Democratic Party jump up like locusts, insulting and accusing every deputy and government member from the Socialist Party and see how they puff themselves up over 150 thousand euro cars and 1 million dollar villas, the only thing I believe is the fact that, here, the opposition is hypocritical, addicted to dirty affairs and politically unreliable. This seems to make you believe the other fact and reality that this sinful opposition will stay where it is for another 13 years.
Berisha seems enthusiastic about why he lost and why he will stay in opposition for another 4 years. His attempts that "we do not recognize the elections and their results of May 11", are humorous bits that no one even from the DP believes and takes seriously anymore. He and his cronies, although in opposition they result rich and not at all impoverished, result in an increase of millions in banks and wealth, and not at all with "shaky pockets" as they try to present themselves to the public opinion. Their sons, daughters, nieces and relatives, today have businesses, private firms, resorts, have villas and palaces, wealth that increases from year to year. Then why do they ramble up and down and try to pretend that they are "fighting for freedom, justice and popular equality", when they are and eat in the same "dish" with those who are investigated by SPAK and judged by GJKKO.
This opposition, in addition to being unreliable, also carries the stigma of shame for everything it has done to date against the country and Albanians. This opposition has closed its political chapter, it is simply trying to grab a few more bucks today. That's all.
