The DP is the first to recognize the May 11 elections

Sali Berisha is not only accepting the elections, but he is also attempting to steal a mandate after the elections, demanding a recount in Tirana, in the hope of stealing a mandate from an opposition party.

Lying to someone before the elections, as a politician, is something that happens often. But continuing to lie to your supporters even after the elections, this only happens with Sali Berisha.

The promise of preserving the vote on behalf of political parties is a false promise. Parties do not preserve votes. They can simply contribute to a more credible process. Votes are preserved by the legal framework, regulated for 34 years in Albania, which has evolved after each election in the direction of guaranteeing the vote.

Any party that promises to protect votes in elections is taking credit for the system that protects votes and guarantees the process. But it is an acceptable lie before elections, to give confidence to supporters.

When the elections are over and the process is certified, the elections are no longer in the hands of any party to “recognize.” They can simply painfully accept the mandates given to them by the electorate, or they can refuse to accept them.

Sali Berisha is not only accepting the elections, but he is also attempting to steal a mandate after the elections, demanding a recount in Tirana, in the hope of stealing a mandate from an opposition party.

So he is not only recognizing the elections and the result he received, but he is also trying to improve it with one more mandate.

A party that rejects the result first rejects the institutions that certify the elections and does not engage in a legal battle.

The DP, by contesting the results or demanding a recount, is not only recognizing the elections, but is also contributing to improving the system – if it was wrong. Not to mention that it is also aiming to grab a mandate along the way.

And this is a greater hypocrisy than before the elections, when she believed that this same system and these institutions would emerge as the historic winner of these elections, through the magic that LaCivita would perform, which "had left Edi Rama sleepless."

Now that the elections are over and the CEC certified the results, the DP – as one of the losing opposition parties – is not only legitimizing this system, not only has it promised to enter the Assembly and receive mandates, salaries, per diems and everything else, but it is also trying to take a mandate from Agron Shehaj.

I don't know what more a party needs to do to recognize the elections than what Berisha is doing. And I don't know how a party can mock its own voters worse than that, considering them ignorant pigs who don't understand what it means to recognize the elections and what it means to reject them.

Only Sali Berisha has this ability: to mock those who leave their mark on him until the end of their lives, without any pity for them. Not even as fools.
