The problem the opposition has with him is not that he does not know that he is disrupting the opposition. The problem is that he knows very well that he is disrupting the opposition and is therefore determined to hold him hostage. He is a hostage taker who thinks he can get away with holding the opposition hostage...
Many well-known supporters of Berisha, even his militants, have started talking about the need for Berisha to become a kind of honorary chairman of the party and for the opposition to reorganize.
Many of them say it naively, as they think that this is a good thing that should be done. Some say it cynically, as they do not want to attack him openly and find a way to get on his nerves. But the commonality of this insidious debate on Berisha is that they cannot win with that president, and they hope that he will understand them.
The problem that these people have, and here I mean first of all those who really believe that they are adding a good thing to Berisha's mind, is that they still do not understand that Berisha knows better than they do what is good for the opposition, but is not interested in it.
For the opposition, it is of course very good that Berisha retires and goes home, and it reorganizes. But this is not an option that takes a lot of work to find. This option formally existed before the declaration "non grata".
Berisha has not returned to the party to win power, but to hold the opposition hostage for his plight.
The problem the opposition has with him is not that he does not know that he is disrupting the opposition. The problem is that he knows very well that he is disrupting the opposition and is therefore determined to hold him hostage. He is a hostage taker who thinks he can get away with holding the opposition hostage. And this is not his misunderstanding. This is his belief.
This idea of some militants for him to run away and become an honorary president is a misunderstanding.
The other side also in the opposition, which knows very well what I have written, but which says that the opposition should be redone with new names and new figures and let Berisha remain its honorary president, of course it is the cynical part of the opposition. which is telling Sali Berisha to leave, that they don't follow him anymore.
And this applies to both Berisha and Meta.
A typical representative of this part of the opposition is Mr. Manjani, who actually says this to clear his soul because he knows that neither Meta nor Berisha will run away, but he just has to say that he is lucky and wants that.
He, unlike the others, knows that Berisha didn't run away, Meta didn't run away, and above all, if the miracle happened, he could not become the honorary president alone.
He knows that Berisha wants the opposition either for himself or to melt. A new opposition with a new mindset and new names will not come to work for him, because it will be an opposition that does not have an honorary leader, but will face Berisha as a monument of shame of oppositionism.
Sali Berisha more easily agrees to keep Edi Rama in power as long as he is alive, standing himself at the head of the opposition, than to have some young men and women come, rebuild the opposition, make their new political history without Berisha and win without him.
He hates this 100 times more than Edi Rama's power. So don't spoil his blood when you tell him honestly, and even worse when you become cynical with him and ask him to commit suicide.
