Why does Berisha need allies when he continues to expel people from the DP?

Berisha's ultimate objective is not to unite the opposition, but to keep the leader of the DP at all costs, even if it means dividing him every year.

Sali Berisha is facing the rejection of three small parties represented in the Assembly in the last elections, while he seeks to set a date for the next protest in February. It is not that if they accept Berisha's invitation, more people will join the protest. As for the background, Berisha has several mayors who do not have parties, but only seals and he can use them.

The real problem Berisha has is not the rejection of several new parties, which have every right to stay away from Berisha, since they are in parliament only because they distanced themselves from him. Berisha's problem is that he is the biggest divisive figure in the history of the opposition in Albania.

His invitation to the new opposition comes at a time when he is continuing to divide the DP, when he declares that Salianji has “crossed red lines” and “is self-excluded.” And Salianji fills the halls more than Berisha in the meantime.

So, a man who cannot keep the DP united that is left after the exclusions that occur every year, a man who cannot generate enthusiasm within the DP, this game of getting allies to compensate for internal enemies in the DP is even more false.

Berisha's ultimate objective is not to unite the opposition, but to keep the leader of the DP at all costs, even if it means dividing it every year. He absolutely needs to be at the head of the DP and those he expels from the DP are then ready to invite them as allies to cooperate, since they no longer endanger his career. And if he expels Salijan from the party and he forms another party, he is ready to invite him back to the table, provided that he does not get involved in his own affairs within the DP.

So, if there is a real enemy, the opposition unity is Sali Berisha. He is the reason why dozens of new parties have been created, whether they are successful or not, and above all, this is the reason why the DP resembles a party at a funeral even when it holds rallies, because even though they pretend to overthrow Rama, everyone is thinking about what they will do with their dead man at the head of the party.

Since he generates hostile groups from the DP every year and is the motive why some young people want to create their own parties outside of it, he can only unite the opposition by leaving home. His presence at the head of the DP, at the head of the tables, at the head of the protests or rostrums, is the main reason why they fail.

Therefore, there is no alibi for the failure of the next protest with the refusal of the new parties that are in the Assembly to join it. They neither increase nor decrease the square. They are signs that increase or decrease optimism for the unity of the opposition, making us all remember that the reason why the opposition does not come together is Sali Berisha. And a man who every day excludes, expels and threatens anyone who endangers his power in the DP, cannot come together and does not have what those who are in the opposition for reasons different from Berisha need.

Before asking for their hand, he must extend his hand to everyone in the DP and pave the way for the DP to unite by stepping aside from its leadership. The others will come on their own, he doesn't need to call them, when they see that the DP is not fighting to preserve Berisha's power, but to take power from Rama.
