Why Këlliç was wrong, even though he was not against Berisha

Belindi tried to talk about a battle that requires the opposition's victory, not for the fate of Berisha, but for the fate of oppositionism, but the irritation it has caused is serious.

Belind Këlliç's statement has not raised concerns that he is against Sali Berisha, because he is not against him. It has raised concerns because he tried to portray the opposition's battle as something beyond Berisha's fate as a candidate for prime minister.

Of course, given the intellect of the militants and the limitations of their explanations, it could have been taken as a statement only against Berisha's candidacy for prime minister, but in fact it was broader, including Berisha's candidacy if they succeeded.

So more clearly, Belindi tried to talk about a battle that requires the victory of the opposition not for the fate of Berisha, but for the fate of oppositionism, but the irritation it has caused is serious.

So serious, that the president of the Youth Forum tried to correct him this afternoon, declaring that Berisha will be the prime minister of all Albanians after May 11th.

And this is a serious sign of the real illness that Berisha's opposition has today. So, today in the DP and in the opposition affiliated with the DP, you are not allowed to think beyond Berisha's interest, you are not allowed to talk about a cause broader than Berisha's need to become prime minister, as you seem to be going beyond the purpose of the DP.

This is exactly what Këlliçi is suffering from with his statement, which was actually beyond Berisha's fate, speaking about the fate of the opposition.

That is, Berisha's opposition has reached a point where it no longer asks about the fate of the DP, nor about the future of the opposition, but only about Berisha's fate.

So, they don't even let you think about what will happen to the opposition if it wins or doesn't win the elections. You only have to talk about what will happen to Berisha.

And this is only as a condition of public discourse, because at the tables and behind the scenes, everyone is waiting for Berisha to lose and leave, according to the "Basha amendment", as if they have never mentioned him in public.

But the fanaticism surrounding the cult of Berisha as a candidate for prime minister is frightening, not only within the DP, but also among its allies.

I saw an interview with Monika Kryemadhi, for example, who called Lulzim Basha, with whom she was the coalition co-chair from 2017 to 2021, the most hated person in the world. They burned mandates together, they ran away from elections together, and all that other nonsense.

She had forgiven him for all of this, but she still hasn't forgiven him for betraying Berisha. That is, she has forgiven her husband for his betrayal, but she doesn't forgive Lul Basha for betraying Berisha.

Even worse, between this and Meta, Berisha chose Meta as his partner after the divorce, but this still ensures that no one betrays Berisha.

This dominant mentality in the opposition is trying to create a cult of loyalty to Berisha as a positive hero, and a cult of Berisha's traitor as a negative hero.

There is no other solution. Especially for those who want to talk about the fate of the opposition. They are more dangerous than Edi Rama, because he, at least as much as these loyalists, wants Berisha as opposition leader.
