Gazmend Bardhi and 16 deputies of the Democratic Party have decided to boycott the meeting of the National Council, which was called last weekend by the leadership of the Democratic Party.
In a statement to the media, the General Secretary and acting head of the DP parliamentary group, emphasized that the boycott of him and 16 other colleagues is done to stop the dissolution of the Democratic Party.
But in fact, when the presidency of the Democratic Party decided, after a meeting with a lot of clashes, to start the process of electing the president, Bardhi and the opponents of the process, requested a meeting of the National Council, since according to them, it is the body that can make the decision for this matter.
And why then, when the meeting of the Council was decided, Bardhi and the group of deputies did not participate? When normally, he can defend his theses before the members of the National Council, and ask and lobby to get the majority of the members. If the Council votes against the opening of the process of the chairman, both Bardhi and the other deputies would reap an important political victory, and advance their thesis of the DP's unification.
However, the boycott, in all probability, shows that neither Bardhi, nor the deputies who support him, do not think that the members of the National Council will support their idea, and so the whole effort will go in vain. So what is the way forward? There are two such. The first is to continue the struggle within the organization to ensure the right space, convincing and lobbying the entire DP membership community, the second is the final departure.
This is what happens in any political logic when an individual or group sees that it does not find the right space in an organization or political party.
Anyway, this whole chaotic situation of disintegration at this stage of the DP parliamentary group into three rival and different groups, is simply a consequence of an explosive situation that started early. Normally, everyone can say, starting the political dialectic that everything started after the loss of April 25, 2021, which was traumatic because it was the third after 2013, naturally creates a Big-Bang-type explosion in politics.
But in reality, nothing happened after the 2021 parliamentary elections. All these MPs who today, whether they are pro Bardhi or Berisha's pulpit, have been part of the choreography of darkness in front of the PD headquarters, where Lulzim Basha announced the famous and much mocked slogan: "The war begins now" !
On May 19, 2021, the US government declared Sali Berisha Non Grata, and senior US officials asked the Democratic Party to take a political stance on this important development. There were even very clear positions such as that "if the DP will stay hostage to the past, it will eat grass", thus bringing a reference to Enver Hoxha's infamous quote against "American imperialism".
As we know, there was no clear position from the DP deputies, except for some well-known names who demanded Berisha's distancing from the party. However, the historical president not only did not leave, but asked the PD to protect him in his battle with America and the West, which was clearly quixotic. Again, there was no stance from the deputies, and of course from the DP elite.
Ndërkaq, ishin po këta deputetë, së bashku me Sali Berishën që mbështetën hapur dhe fort Lulzim Bashën për tu rizgjedhur kryetar i Partisë Demokratike në korrikun e 2021-shit, kur zëra të ndryshëm nga brenda PD-së por dhe jashtë saj por brenda komunitetit të opozitës kërkonin një reflektim e një moment të ri për gjithë botën opozitare.
Po cila ishte ajo shkëndijë që shkaktoi shpërthimin e madh kozmik në PD? Për këtë nuk ka dyshime: Ishte vendimi i Lulzim Bashës për të përjashtuar Sali Berishën nga grupi parlamentar i PD-së. Zyrtarizim që u bë edhe me shkresë të posaçme nga kreu i grupit Enkelejd Alibeaj, i cili më pas u konstitua në Kuvend.
Ai vendim solli kaosin, por edhe hapi një rrugë të re për PD-në, që ajo të transformohej duke hedhur e lënë pas krahëve berishizmin. Në këtë rrugë, u ndanë një grup deputetësh që ju bashkangjitën menjëherë foltores së Sali Berishës, kurse të tjerët qëndruan me Lulzim Bashën. 8 janari 2022 ishte edhe sprova e parë e një përplasjeje epike mes foltores dhe PD-së. Betejë që vijoi gjatë me mjete politike, parapolitike e natyrisht ligjore e gjyqësore.
Por grupi i Lulzim Bashës u kris fort siç dihet pas zgjedhjeve të pjesshme të marsit 2022, kur formacioni i Berishës dhe Metës morën më shumë sesa PD në ato bashki kur u votua. Këtu, një grup i madh deputetësh, ku më të zëshëm ishin Grida Duma e Ervin Salianji kërkuan dorëheqjen e menjëhershme të Lulzim Bashës. I cili u largua, duke lënë regjencë kreun e grupit parlamentar Enkelejd Alibeaj.
Kjo shkaktoi natyrisht një pakënaqësi të madhe nga një grup deputetësh, që megjithatë qëndruan në PD. E vetmja që u largua në fillim ishte Grida Duma. Të tjerët, bënë mjaft lëvizje e tratativa për një bashkim me foltoren, por që Berisha nuk i qasi. Siç dihet më pas, disa ikën te foltorja për tu kandiduar për kryebashkiakë, disa të tjerë si Gazmend Bardhi, Jorida Tabaku etj, arritën që të ndalojnë që PD të dalë me 61 kandidatë në zgjedhjet e 14 majit.
Po përse ndodhi e gjitha kjo? Pasi natyrisht ka një backround të panjohur që është poshtë asaj që dihet. E këtë e ka ditur çdo deputet i PD-së, si brenda saj, si në foltore.
Ky backround është se Lulzim Basha, arriti t’i rezistojë për mbi 6 muaj deri sa ishte ai në detyrë, por edhe më gjatë kur ishte larguar, presionit dhe egërsisë së Foltores për të zaptuar Partinë Demokratike, me ndihmën e një strukture të PD-së, që Basha e formoi në 2017-n, por që e fuqizoi pas zgjedhjeve të 2021-shit.
Kjo strukturë ishte Kolegji i Kryetarëve, i cili ka mbajtur peshën në të gjithë vendin në rezistencën ndaj sulmit të foltores. Kjo, jo natyrisht me fjalë, por me njerëzit që janë pjesë e strukturave të degëve të partisë.
Madje edhe rezistenca e 8 janarit, ku Sali Berisha nuk e pushtoi dot selinë e PD-së, është mbajtur në pjesën më të rëndësishme nga militantë të PD-së nga strukturat e saj të bazës.
E pikërisht kjo peshë e shtuar e saj, ndryshoi ekuilibrin politik brenda Partisë Demokratike. Duke e bërë Kolegjin e Kryetarëve, strukturën bazike të bërthamës së mbijetesës së PD-së.
Duhet thënë se marrëdhëniet e Kolegjit me kupolën e PD-së janë mbajtur nga Lulzim Basha personalisht, qoftë kur ishte kryetar de jure, qoftë edhe kur u largua. Kur vijoi të zhvillonte takime informale në disa zona të Shqipërisë, në formë drekash, kafesh apo diskutimesh jo zyrtare.
Që atëherë, Bardhi e një pjesë e madhe e deputetëve të PD-së, nuk e kanë pëlqyer këtë sjellje, këtë fuqizim jashtë formatit të krerëve të degëve. E është fakt se Bardhi, Tabaku, apo të tjerë nuk kanë qenë në takimet e tilla. Ndërkaq, është e vërtetë se të gjithë këta deputetë, e kanë ditur se Lulzim Basha nuk ishte larguar përfundimisht, pasi tha: “Po bëj një hap mbrapa”. Pra vetëm një hap.
