Flori Paluçi had been wanted in Italy for a double murder attempt in Perugia.
Flori Paluçi, the 33-year-old who was killed in the village of Manzë, Durrës, after a fight over a coffee, had been wanted in Italy for a double murder attempt in Perugia. The news was announced by Italian media the day before (October 24).
According to Italian media, Paluçi was under investigation by the Perugia Prosecutor's Office for the incident that occurred on June 19, in front of a bar in the Verna area of Umbertide, where two people were seriously injured after an exchange of gunfire.
Investigations in Italy have suggested that the incident was linked to a drug deal. After the attack, the 33-year-old, who was previously known to police, immediately fled.
From Umbertide to Durrës, the end of the escape
The end of Paluç's escape came in the late evening hours between October 21 and 22, when another gunfight occurred in Manzë, Durrës, in front of a gas station.
Referring to reports from Albania, Italian media write that the incident occurred over coffee.
A 23-year-old man, who was sitting in a bar with a friend, had asked for an espresso, but the waiter had not served him because the espresso machine had been turned off. This caused a heated argument, in which Flori Paluçi also intervened.
After the fight, two victims were registered: Flori Paluçi and Aranit Kurti.
The suspected perpetrator of Flori Paluç's murder is currently being sought by the Albanian police, while investigations are underway to fully clarify the incident and determine the circumstances of the fatal conflict.
The dynamics of the event in Albania
From the investigations conducted so far, it has resulted that citizen Daniel Pepa entered the bar and, for weak motives, had a verbal conflict with the bar's waiter and with Flori Paluçi (who was accompanied to the bar by several people, among them, the arrested Erald Cani). After the verbal conflict, citizen Daniel Pepa left the bar by vehicle, where he returned immediately afterwards, accompanied by Ergi Kadiu and Aranit Kurti.
During the three young men's attempt to enter the bar, Flori Paluçi emerged from the bar and allegedly fired a gun at the ground.
At this moment, Daniel Pepa allegedly fired a gun at the 33-year-old, injuring him, and the latter fired a gun at Daniel Pepa and Aran Kurti (who allegedly punched Paluçi in the face). As a result of the altercation, Florian Paluçi and Aran Kurti were killed.
Further investigations suggest that citizen GA fled the scene with 21-year-old Daniel Papa.
Intensive searches continue for the capture of the suspected perpetrator of the murder of Flori Paluç, Daniel Pepa, as well as for the capture of the wanted citizen GA.
