Another case of drug trafficking by mail from the US has been cracked by Albanian police, while a 28-year-old man from Fier has been arrested.
Police announced that the amount of cannabis seized was 135 grams, and it was sent by mail. The 28-year-old was arrested when he showed up at the post office to pick up the package.
"The 28-year-old was caught red-handed at a post office receiving a package of cannabis sativa narcotics with a high percentage of TCH, which had been trafficked from the USA. The 28-year-old was arrested."
Approximately 135 grams of cannabis sativa with a high percentage of TCH and 3 cell phones were seized.
The Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the Tirana Police Department, the Fier Local Police Directorate, the Rinas Police Commissariat and the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Shipment 3".
As a result of the operation, citizen AM, 28 years old, resident of Fier, was arrested.
This citizen was caught red-handed by the Police services at a post office receiving a package containing approximately 135 grams of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa with a high percentage of THC, which is suspected to have been trafficked from the USA.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police announced.
