Chronicle journalist Artan Hoxha has revealed other details about the murder of the biggest Iraqi mobster, Mustafa Aljiburi, otherwise known as "Benzema".
Hoxha said that a 1 million euro reward had been set for Benzema's murder. According to him, the executor is a 19-year-old man of Albanian origin living in Sweden and identified as Xuliano Prenga.
According to Hoxha, Prenga may have been recruited by Aljibur's opponents, as it is impossible for a teenager to go to Baghdad and assassinate one of the most protected people.
Benzema was one of the biggest mobsters in the Middle East and Sweden, where he controlled the cocaine traffic.
"Juliano Prenga is suspected to have been recruited by the opponents of Mustafa Aljibur, known by the nickname "Benzema" because he resembled and imitated the footballer, to commit this murder. 1 million euros were offered for the one who killed Benzema. We do not know if this payment has been made or not. When he asked his mother for money to go to Baghdad, she did not give it to him. Juljano told him that I have a friend who invited me there, but his mother did not accept and did not give him the money for the ticket. He lives in Sweden" , said Hoxha.
Hoxha further added that those who started it cut his ticket and that this is an organized event since it is impossible for a 19-year-old to orchestrate this assassination. According to him, Juliano shot "Benzema" 14 times and managed to escape as those who organized the event thought of killing Juliano, but 10 minutes after he managed to escape, he was arrested.
"Those who started it have cut the ticket. He went to Baghdad on the 7th, and it seems that it is an organized event, since there is no way for a 19-year-old, however trained and determined, to go to Baghdad in an unknown city, to find firearms and hit such a protected person as Aljiburi. This means that a whole structure helped him to do this. He received information that Aljiburi was on the road connecting the airport to the city , the busiest street that Baghdad has. He goes on a motorcycle and finds him at a moment when the traffic is not stopped, but the cars are moving at low speed. He approaches him on his motorcycle, at one point he gets off the motorcycle and shoots him 14 times . Benzema was alone in the car, but he had companions, front and back. According to the data, those who organized the event thought they could kill Giuliano there, but he was resourceful and left the scene. Due to communications with police radio, 10 minutes later, a police patrol hit the motorcycle and he tried to run away, but then he was arrested" , Hoxha confessed in "Euronews Albania".
