Arsid Muça, a 16-year-old from Shkodra, lost his life in the flames that engulfed a building on the border between Belgium and Luxembourg.
About two months ago, an acquaintance attracted the young man to work there as an immigrant since the Muça family was facing economic problems, but it all turned into a tragedy.
In circumstances still unclear, Luxembourg media reports, a building in the city of Bastogne was gutted by a fire that spread rapidly. The 16-year-old was asleep and did not manage to get out, burning inside.
His uncle, Fatmir Delaj, confesses that the victim was forced to emigrate at that young age by not attending high school in order to help the family.
Neighbors in the village of Shtoj i Ri in Shkodër are equally saddened by this event of the 16-year-old who was burned inside the building.
They say that Arsidi has been working since he was 13 years old to support his family until he emigrated as a green light which turned into a tragedy.
The serious event took place in the early hours of the morning of January 18 in the building called Titanic in Bastogne, Luxembourg.
Firefighters arrived at the scene, extinguishing the flames, but Arsid Muça from Shkodra could not escape, losing his life.
The Luxembourg authorities are continuing the investigation into the incident and will then start the procedures to bring the victim's body to Albania.
The Muça family does not have the financial means to cover the expenses, while it is expected to be seen if someone will come to their aid.
