The State Police in cooperation with the Italian police have arrested Ilia Ndoka, who was declared wanted by SPAK thanks to the "Metamorfoza 2" operation.
Ilia, part of the group of former MP Arben Ndoka, is accused of laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense in collaboration, in the form of a structured criminal group.
SPAK last week issued 50 arrest warrants for the capture of several people whose names are involved in the underworld after the Sky ECC application was dismantled.
On the order of SPAK, RENEA and FNSH forces conducted one of the largest operations in several cities and areas, which are considered to be the base of criminal groups.
As a result of SPAK investigations, 7 criminal groups were hit. A total of 20 people were arrested from this operation. In Albania, 14 people were put in handcuffs, while 6 others were arrested abroad. Meanwhile, 30 other people have been declared wanted.
Arrest warrants were issued for well-known figures of the world of crime and they included former MP Arben Ndoka and 4 police officials.
The authorities seized large amounts of cash, gold, jewelry and armored cars, the value of which is around 3 million euros. Thanks to this investigation, SPAK has also revealed a series of criminal events and sensational murders that happened a few years ago.
SPAK's in-depth investigations have revealed the underground alliances of the criminal world and the files have documented the connections of criminal groups, financial interests and joining forces for the execution of opponents. The file known as "Metamorfoza 2" documents the alliance created between former gambling boss Ervis Martinaj and former MP Arben Ndoka.
SPAK informs that Martinaj and Ndoka have recruited paid killers who operate mainly in the area of Fushë-Kruja and in the area of Burrel for the execution of Fatmir Hysen, known by the nickname "Doqja". This revenge was sought after he allegedly killed on the evening of August 27, 2019, Santiango Malko in Tirana, one of Martinaj's most trusted men.
