A serious maritime accident occurred today in the Bay of Ksamil, where a vessel collided with the Saranda Border Police boat.
According to preliminary information, it is reported that the collision was severe, and it is suspected that one person has lost his life. This is 20-year-old Albiano Kreçi.
Immediately after the accident, numerous police forces and emergency teams arrived in the area, which have initiated initial investigative actions and are working to fully clarify the circumstances.
Preliminary sources indicate that two ambulances transported two people to the emergency room of the Saranda hospital. According to the same sources, it is suspected that one of them has died, while the health condition of the other person remains unclear.
It is learned that the victim was driving a motorized watercraft in the shape of a vehicle at the time of the accident. The watercraft he was driving collided with the Border Police boat, and as a result of the impact, it suffered serious damage and sank into the sea.
After the accident, Kreçi was urgently transported to the Saranda hospital by ambulance, but he was unable to survive his injuries and passed away.
