The police have launched an anti-drug operation in the city of Korça. The operation has spread to several areas of the city and aims to crack down on networks that deal with the distribution of narcotics.
According to sources, so far two people have been arrested, while several others have been escorted for questioning. Police have conducted detailed searches in the suspects' homes and vehicles, where they have discovered and seized a quantity of drugs, including cocaine divided into doses ready for sale.
The operation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected. The identities of the detainees are not yet known, while the investigative team continues to work to fully uncover the criminal activity and the possible connections of the arrested with other drug distribution networks.
