
Some managers and employees of the Shkodra Police are suspected to have been involved in the investigation of the police action on cannabis in Obot of Velipoja during the months of August-September.
It is learned that the "house arrest" measure has been imposed on persons accused of abuse of office. Journalist Anila Hoxha informs that the measures have been given for:
-Hajri Kushe – Deputy director of crimes in Shkodra District (Suspension from duty and prohibition to leave the country);
- Dedim Gjeta - Chief of crimes, former head of the police station of Shkodra, currently head of the order of Lezha (Prohibition of exiting the country);
- Pëllumb Shpati - Former crime boss in Shkodër, currently a policeman in economic crime (house arrest);
-Ilir Hasaj - Head of SPZ Shkodër with the rank of commissioner (Prohibition of exiting the country);
-Taulant Kurtaj – House Arrest;
- Asllan Shytaj – Prohibition of exiting the country;
- Arben Memaj – Prohibition of exiting the country;
- Arben Dekovi - Prohibition of exiting the country;
-Vehbi Nase – Suspension of the exercise of duty;
- Gjin Guri – Suspension of the exercise of duty;
- Nazmi Beqiri - Suspension of the exercise of duty;
-Sokol Pjetri – Suspension of the exercise of duty;
-Ardis Çoçja – Suspension of the exercise of duty;
-Other members of SPZ, Police Specialist of the area are under house arrest.
For one of the arrested, Pëllumb Shpati, a police officer in the field of Economic Crime, who has been sentenced to house arrest, in addition to abuse of office, the charge of supporting the perpetrator after the crime is also heavy.
Investigations show that there are 248 people involved in this crime, who are accused of abuse of office.
The decision was given by the Prosecutor of Shkodra, Blerta Hamza, for the accused persons who are part of the Shkodra Police.
