The clue that Sokol Mjacajt's gun was introduced by drone has been dropped, while there are doubts that he did not act alone.
One day after the serious incident that took place in the high security prison in Peqin, the testimony of the author of the murder of Arben Lleshi and the wounding of Indri Shaqja has been disclosed.
Mjacaj stated that he had secured the weapon more than a month and a half ago.
He stated that Arben Lleshi did not accept him in the sector, while he stated that he brought the firearm to the prison 20 days ago.
“We had a conflict right then and there with Arben Lleshi. He did not accept me in the sector. I put the gun in 20 days ago or a month ago," he told the investigators.
It is suspected that the weapon was inserted fully and holster. Sources from the investigative group say that 13 people from the prison staff, from the director to the entire chain of command, have been detained. The suspicions are that, contrary to what Mjacaj claims, the murder was paid.
How did the event happen?
Sokol Mjacaj approached the cell where both Lleshi and Indrit Shaqja were staying together and called Lleshi by name.
"Arben Lleshi comes out," he said and shot 3 times with a pistol, while 2 bullets hit Lleshi and 1 in the leg of Shaqjan, who is thought to have been accidentally injured. It is learned that Mjacaj was then isolated in a prison and threatened to kill people if his life was not guaranteed.
After negotiations with the director of Peqin prison to surrender, Mjacaj threw down his weapon and surrendered. Those sentenced to life imprisonment threw a pair of handcuffs into the cell and tied one hand with one hand, while the other was tied to the railings of the cell. After that, Sokol Mjacaj threw the pistol he had in his hand on the ground. After he removed the weapon, the prison police entered and arrested him.
