While Altin Ndoci wanders free after escaping from Durres hospital, the Durres Prosecution Office is investigating the prisoner's transfer to a regular security detention center at a time when he is considered a person of high social risk.
Ndoci was transferred to Durrës in May 2020. According to journalist Klodiana Lala, the prosecution has seized all the evidence that was used in Ndoci's case. The former director of prisons and the officials who conducted the assessment will also be questioned.
We recall that two days ago, while undergoing several medical examinations in the Infectious Diseases ward, Ndoci managed to leave the hospital, even though there were police officers outside the door where he was being examined.
After the unprecedented event, the entire Durrës prison chain was dismissed, as well as the director of this prison, while 8 people were arrested.
