The traffic police of Tirana imposed 11,889 administrative measures against drivers within one week.
In the police balance sheet, it is noted that an average of 1,698 fines were imposed per day during the past week. The most fines are imposed for wrong posture, followed by those for speeding over the speed limit and not wearing a seat belt.
With the arrival of the tourist season, control measures to prevent road accidents have been strengthened. During the last week, strict measures have been implemented to maintain order and road safety:
9 drivers were arrested, 4 of them for driving under the influence of alcohol, 1 for driving without a driving license and 4 for violating traffic rules.
Administrative measures:
11,889 administrative measures imposed, an average of 1,698 per day.
63 measures for black glasses.
608 measures for speeding over the permitted rates.
330 measures for mobile phone use while driving.
587 measures for not wearing a seat belt.
19 measures for disobeying the "Stop" signal.
704 measures for not giving priority to citizens.
8089 measures for wrong posture.
Suspensions and blockages:
9 cases of suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol.
55 cases of speeding.
13 different cases.
12 vehicles were blocked, including 4 with foreign license plates.
