The State Police gave details today about the mega-operation, where 16 arrest warrants were issued, while 6 murders were discovered.
Meanwhile, the names of the persons involved in the murder of Albi Bashali in Peqin in 2021 have been revealed.
The suspected authors are:
- Laert Haxhiu, 31 years old, born in Lushnja;
- Artan (Marjus) Tafani, 39 years old, born in Lushnja;
- Lulzim Spahija (Arab), 28 years old, born in Lushnja;
- Lorenc Lala (alias Ilir Lamberti, alias Kristian Lala), 36 years old, resident of Lushnja;
- Enriko Xhahysa, 23 years old, resident of Gjocaj, Peqin;
- Bledar Berberi, 34 years old, resident of Pogradec.
How the murder of December 27, 2021 happened
Albi Bashaliu was executed on December 27, 2021. The 35-year-old was killed with a gun in the village of Gjoçaj in Peqini. The victim had just got out of his car to go to a cafe. After executing Bashali, they also burned his car.
He had a criminal record after 4 years ago he shot a gun at 2 people in Peqin. The event was suspected of revenge since in June of that year, the victim's brother, Leonard Bashaliu, killed Ylber Xhahysa. Bashaliu had a conflict for trivial reasons with Ylber Xhahysa for scratching the car 5 years ago and this conflict led to that serious criminal event.
