A 36-year-old man from Kosovo has been arrested in Fushe Kruja for extradition purposes, after being convicted of illegal activities in the field of narcotics. He was wanted by the Kosovo authorities and must serve the remainder of the sentence handed down by the Gjakova Court.
The arrest of citizen F.Sh. was carried out by the services of the Special Operations Force Directorate of the Criminal Police Department, within the framework of the 87th phase of the police operation codenamed "Operacionalja", which aims to capture internationally wanted persons.
According to the authorities, the Gjakova Court sentenced him on March 14, 2023, to 2 years in prison and a 550 euro fine for criminal offenses related to the possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, as well as for illegal border crossing.
" The Directorate of the Special Operational Force at the Criminal Police Department is finalizing another phase of the police operation codenamed "Operacionalja", for the capture of internationally wanted persons.
A citizen wanted by Kosovo for illegal activities in the field of narcotics and illegal border crossing has been arrested.
Following the successive operations conducted by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, based on information obtained operationally, the 87th phase of the police operation codenamed "Operacionalja" was finalized.
As part of this operation, in Fushë Krujë, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate of the Criminal Police Department captured and arrested, with the aim of extradition to Kosovo, citizen F. Sh., 36 years old, born and residing in Fushë Krujë.
The Court of Gjakova/Kosovo, with the decision dated 14.03.2023, has sentenced this citizen to 2 years in prison and a 550 euro fine, of which he has 1 year, 4 months and 10 days of imprisonment left to serve, for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances and analogous substances" and "Illegal border crossing" , the police announced.
