A 14-year-old minor has been arrested by Tirana Police, suspected of being the perpetrator of around 150 thefts committed over the last two years in the capital.
Police say two adults have also been arrested, accused of pushing the minor towards criminal activity.
According to the Police, citizens Agron Doçi, 48 years old, and Altin Hyseni, 41 years old, were arrested. They are suspected of having pushed the 14-year-old to steal a motorcycle on "Kongresi i Manastirit" street on January 21, which was then taken over by the 41-year-old.
During the searches conducted, in a garage owned by one of the arrested, the police found and seized two motorcycles and motorcycle parts, suspected of being stolen.
"The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, in continuation of investigative and operational work, with the objectives of preventing thefts and uncovering those committed, finalized the police operation codenamed "Popular", within the framework of which citizens AD, 48 years old and AH, 41 years old, as well as a 14-year-old who is suspected of having committed 4 thefts, during the month of February, 2026, were arrested.
Investigations suspect that the 2 citizens pushed the minor to steal a motorcycle on "Kongresi i Manastirit" street, which the 41-year-old had stolen.
During the search of a garage owned by citizen A. H, 2 motorcycles and motorcycle parts were found and seized. The minor is suspected of having committed around 150 thefts over the last 2 years. Work is underway to uncover other thefts that these citizens may have committed. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
