
Tirana Police announced the prosecution of several politicians in connection with the recent protests in the capital.
In an official announcement, Tirana Police announced that they have proceeded with charges of blocking roads, obstructing the free movement of citizens, and disturbing public order against Belind Këllici, Tedi Blushi, Klevis Balliu, Adriana Kalaja, and actress Adriana Tolka.
Meanwhile, a proceeding has been registered against Altin Goxhaj, while still at large, in connection with a protest he called in front of the Prime Minister's Office opposing the idea of creating a Bektashi state.
"Criminal Investigation Specialists at Police Station No. 1 proceeded to release citizens AT, AK, KB, B. K and TB, after yesterday in front of the Tirana Municipality building, in collaboration with other yet unidentified persons, they held an illegal protest, blocking the road, obstructing the free movement of citizens, and disrupting public order and peace.
"The same specialists proceeded to release citizen AG, 55 years old, after yesterday, on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, in collaboration with other persons, they held a protest, for which a permit for this gathering had not been approved," the Police announced.
