The Kukes Police have arrested 3 people, one of them handcuffed for smuggling goods and the other 2 for drug trafficking.
Citizen RB, 43 years old, resident of Kosovo, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Smuggling of other goods". During checks on the Shishtavec-Kukës road, police stopped his vehicle and found and seized contraband electrical and construction goods.
Citizens with the initials BS, 24 years old, and EO, 25 years old, residents of Kosovo, were also arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics", committed in collaboration. The police found a quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis, which was seized along with their vehicle.
"Kukës/ Two cases of illegalities are investigated by the structures of the DVP Kukës and DVKM Kukës, one citizen is arrested for smuggling and two citizens for drug trafficking.
Contraband goods, narcotics and two vehicles were seized.
Specialists of the Economic and Financial Investigation Section at the Kukës Police Department, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen RB, 43 years old, resident of Kosovo, for the criminal offense of "Smuggling of other goods".
During the checks on the Shishtavec-Kukës road axis, the Police stopped a “Renault” vehicle with driver RB. During the check, electrical and construction goods were found in the vehicle, which are suspected of having entered Albanian territory outside the customs point. The goods and the vehicle were seized as material evidence.
At the entrance to Albania, at the Morinë BCP, the Border Police services, in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section, arrested in flagrante delicto citizens BS, 24 years old, and EO, 25 years old, residents of Kosovo, for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed in collaboration.
The two citizens were traveling in a "Caddy" type vehicle, which was selected for a detailed search. During the search, the Police found a quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis, which was seized along with the vehicle.
"The procedural materials for both cases were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action ," the police announced.
