A man and a woman lost their lives this morning as a result of a tragic accident that occurred on the Lezhë-Shkodër axis.
The victims were identified as Petrit and Elona Florini, from Puka.
Petriti, 53, worked as a police officer, while his wife, Elona, 45, worked as a teacher.
The car they were traveling in collided with another vehicle driven by citizen FL, in which there was also a woman with her two minor children, 6 and 2 years old, who were injured.
The intervention of the fire brigade was necessary to extract the victims from the vehicle, while investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Police Notification
"Around 08:00, on the Lezhë-Mabë road, in the place called Gocaj, two vehicles were involved in a road accident: the vehicle driven by citizen FL and the vehicle driven by citizen PF.
As a result of the accident, citizen PF, about 53 years old, and the passenger in this vehicle, citizen EF, about 45 years old, spouses, lost their lives.
Also, three passengers in the vehicle driven by citizen FL were injured, specifically his wife and two minor children, 6 and 2 years old, who are out of danger.
"The investigation team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances of this accident," the police announced.
